Ministry Team
Rev Adrian Buggs 
Adrian began as Ministry Team Leader - Resource Minister across the 3 congregations of Springwood, Blaxland and Hazelbrook Uniting Churches in October 2024. Adrian had been ministering in the Blue Mountains for the five years prior to joining us here in his current role. Before that he ministered in the far north of Western Australia: Kununurra in the East Kimberley and Karratha in the Pilbara.
He has two sons, Obadiah and Ezekiel, who he loves hanging out with in God’s creation. In his spare time he can be found trying to get lost by wandering on a track somewhere or paddling his kayak in the Dyarubbin (Nepean/Hawkesbury River). He loves roasting, extracting and drinking coffee, fishing and tinkering on his VW Beetle.
Adrian strives to see our community impacted by the love of God expressed through the people of God as they live out the Word of God. He enjoys helping people understand the Bible and seeing it bring joy, peace and hope to them.
Rev Leigh Gardiner (Fresh Expressions)
Graeme and Leigh began with us in 2016. They met and married while ministering in separate settings in the Central West and shared the role of Minister here until July 2022 when Graeme retired. In April 2024 Leigh began focussing on our Fresh Expressions activities and ministries. Leigh and Graeme love the Blue Mountains and enjoy spending time bushwalking and, occasionally, kayaking. They also enjoy music, theatre and good coffee. Leigh is a volunteer with WIRES and thus they often have wildlife (particularly birds) in care. They also love exploring scripture, faith and spirituality. Despite 'retiring' Graeme continues to offer his preaching, ministry and woodworking gifts in various ways.
